Jake Moore is out, at least this weekend with Tonsilitus, which means the Tomahawks need a solid backup goalie. So Johnstown has called up Tucker Murphy who tried out for the Tomahawks during this past off season.

This year with the Richmond Generals, Murphy has a record of 10-3-0 with a GAA of 2.21 and a save percentage of .938. You can read the Generals' official team press release here.

Johnstown made their third tender for the 2014-2015 season, signing Philadelphia Jr. Flyers forward Andrew Romano.

You can read the Jr. Flyers full press release here, which features quotes from the Johnstown Tomahawks.

Last season for the Jr. Flyers, Romano played in 40 games scoring 49 points (19 goals, 30 assists). In 2011-2012 he appeared in 40 games scoring 39 points (18 goals, 21 assists).
