Tomahawks Win in Dramatic Fashion, 4-3

Tomahawks didn't get off to a great start, but they battled, twice from behind to send the game into overtime.

In the overtime, the Tomahawks' got a bounce which sent Johnstown on a 2 on 0 breakout. Shane Bednard had the puck on his stick and instead of passing it, he shot it, and beat Port Huron's goalie, Max Milosek for the winner.

When the Tomahawks' got to their game, in the second period, they showed that they can play against any team in the league.

Tommy Hall played in his first game with the Tomahawks and though he didn't have any points he played very well. He has good speed, made some really nice passes, and though he only stands at 5'5, threw some of the biggest hits in the game, helping swing the momentum the Tomahawks way.

Recent assigned goaltender Jake Moore played for Johnstown in net. He seemed a little shaky at times. During his time in the USHL he had a save percentage of .840, and today finished with a save percentage of .833. That's something he's got to improve.

Shane Bednard finally had a break out game. We knew he had this type of offensive ability and today he showed it, registering 3 points, including the game winning goal.

Also speaking of Bednard, our PA announcer kept calling Bednard--Bernard. Hopefully he gets it right next weekend.

Johnstown's game plan today was to make sure they got in Milosek's crease, and they did a good job of that all day.

After every goal, Brandon Reinholz made it a point to yell as much as he could at Milosek.

There were no fights in the game, but Sanipass did drop the gloves with Port Huron's Lucus Little. Both men received four minutes for roughing.
