When DeAugustine was called up in the beginning of the season he backed- up a few games but didn't see any playing time. During this latest call-up, DeAugustine has seen action in a couple of games, and has been able to do something the Phantoms' current goaltenders hadn't been able to do. Win games.
Between Sean Romeo and Jake Moore, they have a combined record of 2-5-1. Colin DeAugustine has a record of 2-0-0, including one shutout.
In two games DeAugustine has faced 62 shots and has only allowed three goals. His GAA is 1.44 and he currently has a save percentage of .952.
Youngstown sits in 5th place out of 8 teams in the Eastern Conference with an overall record of 4-5-1.
DeAugustine wasn't in the lineup this past weekend, which means that Youngstown might be healthy again in net, leading to Colin heading back to Johnstown, possibly in the near future.
Back on October 11th, DeAugustine got his first start in net for the Phantoms. The game was vs. the Chicago Steel. Colin faced 27 shots and turned away all 27, in the 3-0 win.
Then the next night, on October 12th , DeAugustine was back in net for Youngstown vs. the Indiana Ice. Colin faced 35 shots in regulation, stopping 32. The game went into a shootout that lasted eight rounds. In the eight rounds, DeAugustine only allowed one goal, off the stick of Brian Pinho in the fourth round of the shootout.
Youngstown was able to score twice in the shootout giving the team and DeAugustine the 4-3 victory.
Note: Conor Lemirande who is playing for Youngstown. Lemirande played last season for the Janesville Jets. Tyler Spezia is also playing for Youngstown. He played in Port Huron last season.
